This novella has two separate stories about characters who meet in the novel, Driving in Traffick. They each suffer difficult childhoods but are endowed with exceptional athletic abilities. These dynamic individuals struggle against their own family values to strive for excellence in their sport. Arnold is forced into a career he hates by a father who won't let him go. Blaize is driven away by a family that won't accept her as a capable, talented individual. Blaize and Arnold each have a separate story, but their lives become entangled to ultimately affect each other. One becomes powerful, the other helpless. Read this prequel before or after Driving in Traffick, either way, you'll want to know the backstory.
