This book is about Joe Mauldoon a man with an unusual knack of piloted boats. With the help of his old sea dog friend nick named Long John, they ready for a treasure hunt of a life time. However, Long John dies, and according to his last will and testament, Joe has to go on this treasure hunt alone. As he sails the Caribbean, he finds the clues left by Long John and learns of a secret pirate society trying to clean up the Caribbean. In the end, Joe finds this legendary treasure but also finds something more important. He finds a brethren that are his family.
