Granny Grey is not in all truth a real Granny, nor yet even a real Mother. It has been her desire to deserve this title all the years she has lived with Si. Si. is the man she has lived with for many years yet never married, he built the wood styled house from scratch, the land being given to him by his employer for work well done. The building is isolated and on the edge of the woods. There are several such buildings all scattered within a three mile radius. Si tends to there needs gathering herbs for illnesses and the like. Granny was given the name loosely as she was always there to give advice. This story tells of how Granny fulfilled her dream becoming a true "Granny Grey" when the wheels of fate turned in her direction.
