As the summer's heat intensifies, so too does the war for the throne of Elnaria. Henri Richards is now a squire to a well-known knight, and is finding his new rank a burden. He finds himself the objective of hatred among the other squires and often finds himself in trouble with the Master-At-Arms. Angered by his mistreatment, Henri finds himself torn between his duties and his want for a better life with his true love, Elizabeth. Frustrated by the conflict within himself, Henri once more finds that he is on the wrong side of the law.

In these uncertain times of war, loyalties are tested and ambitious men seek power only for themselves. And the kingdom of Elnaria once more finds itself at the mercy of an unlikely hero...
