SOMEWHERE IN MEXICO, IN THE MID 90'S... Wendy, her fiance Marcos, and a group of friends were just getting ready to spend a relaxing weekend at the Quinta Luz María, never imagining that the party would be spoiled by the arrival of schizophrenic Aunt Ernestina, a puritanical and obsessive old lady who sees the sin and lust in the most innocent intentions. From that night on, because of a stroke by lightning that flips their van in the travel back to the city, the group faces a more serious problem than the mysterious absence, but menacing presence, of the dreadful woman: the new conservative society that points, harasses and threatens them. Now they must survive to-and attempt to escape from-this improbable reality, which is a faithful copy of the obsessions of Doña Ernestina Beltrán, the implacable guardian of decency and good customs, determined to eradicate the vices and perversions that dominate the world. Julius Hernández leads us through this amazing metaphysical odyssey, in the scenery of a modern provincial society which, surprisingly and for unknown reasons, regresses to a repressive, authoritarian and dangerous time. A sort of combination of the exaggerations from the Victorian moralism and a sick mind that verges on the surreal, self-appointed as a vigilante, judge and executioner of the scum of society. And who has at her disposal all human, and even divine resources, to make them conform to her obscure designs.
