David Hollister and Harry Mapp, two young men on a sailing expedition, find themselves caught in a storm worse than any they have ever experienced. Bleary eyed from being awake all night, but somewhat relieved by the calmness of the following day, both scramble on deck to find themselves in a strange location. Curious about the peculiar land mass before them, they decide to sail towards it. Never in their wildest dreams would they have imagined themselves being propelled to another planet where oxygen is a luxury and where factions deviously try to procure them for their own needs. Trapped in a world where the population feeds off one another, death is compulsory at the age of thirty five and consent is required to procreate, David and Harry are helped by an underground group who secure them and replace them with clones. Initially David and Harry are relieved to get away from the tyrannous ways of the rival group, but are soon disheartened when they learn thereal reason for their rescue; one that makes the possibility of staying alive and making it back to Earth seem impossible. When war breaks out between the inhabitants as oxygen levels diminish, Harry is infused by a strange power. With the help of an omnipresent being and an animated book, Harry takes on the task of fighting evil to save not only the alien planet, but Earth as well.
