Neon Fireworks Dancing On Water, Jessica Nicole Brown's second poetry collection following Moving Stagnancy, is a nebulous fever dream of alienation and restlessness. While Moving Stagnancy was blue like a river or the waves of an ocean that are always in flux yet always returning to their previous state, a sort of moving stillness, Neon Fireworks Dancing On Water is an agonizing limbo of melancholy purple caught in-between. True desires are still never actualized but it's like a drop of red blood infiltrates the blue river or ocean and the frustration to end the cycle increases along with the madness related to it.
