Embracing Love is the story of two wounded people who find each other at exactly the right time in their lives. It is their commitment to grow their love and trust that fuels the story. Sarah is a woman haunted by her past. She suffered in an abusive relationship where, in order to save her own life, she shot and killed her husband. As a result, she suffers from PTSD and huge issues of questioning her own judgment. Bryan is a man also haunted by his past of being sexually abused throughout his childhood by his mother. He suffers with issues around commitment and trust . They each have found ways that serve others, but avoid real intimacy. She, as an attorney that specializes in abuse, and he, as an animal whisperer. It's been twenty years since Sarah has been in any relationship. She meets Bryan when she panics about how to introduce her current animals - Ivan the Terrible, a huge long-haired white nasty cat, and KoBe, her black Lab - to an abandoned puppy she finds and falls in love with. Her veterinarian suggests she call Bryan to assist her. Their story is one of learning to be real with each other and extend their willingness to feel and relate to what is occurring in their lives - with each other and within themselves.
