"The Allegheny Circe" was originally published as part of a collection of short stories entitled, Gene Jordan's Short Stories. Now Gene Jordan has made this heart gripping long short story available as an independent piece. The Allegheny Circe starts with Clark, a 71 year old, riding his canoe down the Allegheny River as he has done many times for enjoyment. This time, however, was different. A beautiful goddess of a woman in all her splendor became visible in a large upstairs picture window. Clark began to back paddle to keep this goddess in view as he watched her. To his disbelief, she invited him in. The two began falling in love. Was this possible? Could he enjoy love, lust, and romance again? With her? Unfortunately, not all was well and time was running out. He loved her and she loved him but could love defy all odds?
