A Better Sense of Self
Dawnelee Rae Wright
Dawnelee Wright has faced many challenges in her life. Born blind and with a heart defect, she decided early in life that she wasn't going to let anything stop her from living life to the fullest. Chaos and upset would stalk her continuously, reappearing every time she thought she had finally found a place of peace. Abandoned at birth by her biological father, Dawnelee continued to search for a positive male influence in her life, and she was deeply crushed when her first marriage fell apart because her husband fell in love with another man. Rebuilding a life fraught with turmoil often made her want to give up, but when she began to lose yet another of her senses, she began to re-evaluate her life and priorities, finally finding the peace she had been looking for.
