Juliette. an Adelie Penguin, goes on her first trip to the Aves Convention. She travels with her father, mother, and brother, Trysten. The Aves Convention is in the Gulf of Mexico, where all kinds of birds meet and compete. Juliette and her family meet many new and interesting birds. They watch the running, flying and swimming races. She befriends Tyler, a Mallard Duck, Rowi, a Kiwi, and twins Jose and Carmelita, Lovely Cotingas. She learns that birds come in all different types. Some fly, some swim, and some walk. They are different colors and shapes. They have different legs, wings and beaks. Some sleep during the day and some sleep at night. Juliette learns that no type is better than another. She learns that we compliment each other.
