In the garden of Gesthemane, Jesus dealt with "agónia" which is the brand of struggle that emphasizes something experienced in an intensely personal way. Jesus dealt with a personal struggle in his prayers. Jesus was full of pain, grief, agony, and resistance, He had no other choice but to have a conversation with His Father. Jesus lets go of his resistance and hands His life completely over to the will of God, and all of this took place in the garden. In our personal lives, we will find ourselves in the garden.
