The Suzuki Method of Violin teaches students Musette by Bach as the second song of the Book Two Series. In Scales Aren't Just a Fish Thing, the second level book is called the 'Keepers'. Musette is the second book in this series. Each book gives a short story biography of the composer followed by instructions as to the best way to learn the preview spots or more difficult part of the song. This is taught before the song is presented to prevent short circuits and glitches once the song is begun. The song is written in gum drop (color-coded) notes with the letter written on the note alongside the black notes with the letter. Next, the letter name is removed from the gum drop notes as well as the black notes.
