STORY LINE OF BOOK ONE -- When we meet Henry in this first book of The Henry Series, he is six years going on seven. He is a likeable, whimsical, fun-loving, and inquisitive little boy. If he has a problem, he's all about trying to fix it. In Book One, Henry Made New, his heart gets him in trouble. Henry wants to obey. He means to obey. But his heart says, "Go ahead, Henry, and do that thing you know you're not supposed to do." Henry thinks he'll solve this problem by being good enough or working hard enough. Surely doing good things will change his heart into one that encourages him to do what is right and stay away from what is wrong. But Henry very soon learns there is nothing - absolutely nothing - he can do to change his heart. Henry can't, but God can. God can and does change Henry's heart. And it is then that Henry's awesome lifelong journey with the Lord begins.
