Set shortly after WWII, the winds of change are not just sweeping the people of Africa but also its wildlife. The native population is exploding, colonialism is dying, and the wilderness is shrinking.

The cruel deaths of a father and son and the foolish mistake of an elephant are the catalysts for a violent showdown between the old and new Africa.

Abandoned and alone, Disa, a first-time elephant mother, must make a perilous journey with her newborn calf through the unforgiving wilderness to reunite and reconcile with her family.
