Another children's classic from Clifton Pugh: The Amulet. Leonara lived in a little village with her two daughters Rozelda and Clara. While Rozelda had a pure heart, she was not as pretty as her sister was. But she was not much bothered because Rozelda was good and kind and she loved her sister. But the relationship between the two sisters began to go south on Rozelda's twentieth birthday when Clara manages to steal Ralph, who was the love of Rozelda's life. Feeling betrayed with a heart now full of darkness and hate, Rozelda sought revenge against her sister who hurt her, and in a chance crossing of path with a malevolent witch, she found the perfect means to do so... Will Rozelda be able to find a way to stop hate from overtaking her and forgive her sister? Or will she let it consume her? The Amulet is a story about the struggle between the good and the bad in all of us, and how the one that wins out in the end depends on the thoughts we have.
