On June 3, 2009, the author, Vicki Bowen, had a major brain bleed in her cerebellum, the lower rear part of the brain. She was airlifted to a trauma hospital, where surgery was performed on her brain. She was given less than a one percent chance of staying alive. By some miracle though, she did. Read the author's miraculous journey through a month in a trauma hospital, another month in a rehabilitation center, and her life after that as she healed at home. Through all of the ups and downs she passed through in her journey, the author tried to remain positive and realized how blessed she really was. Her family was an integral part of her survival and this fact is described in detail in the book. This book is an uplifting story of Vicki's journey of healing and survival. Names have all been changed for the protection of those involved. Read this endearing story, as Vicki makes a life change to one of feeling very blessed and fortunate to be alive. She has learned many things, such as wanting to make memories and live life to the fullest.
