Chicago 1947. The Bridgeport neighborhood - home of five Chicago mayors. The grandson of a powerful mob figure is molested by a Catholic Priest. This scandal must be kept secret to protect the boys, the Church, and the City of Chicago. Mayor Dunnelley assigns Special Assistant James Finlayson. James plan is quickly complicated as the priest is abducted by the mob. Martin De Fiore, uncle of one of the molested altar boys, resents City involvement and targets James for harassment with ultimate abduction and imprisonment. James' brother Adam, a Catholic priest, assembles an unlikely rescue team. James is freed, but the harassment continues. James and Adam are forced to consider killing Martin to protect themselves and their family
