Disguised as a military keyhole satellite, a classified weapon orbits the earth. Built as a ultra-black project for the Strategic Defence Initiative; the Far Shadow program officially does not exist. As such, those that learn of its awesome capabilities are ruthlessly eliminated to preserve its highly classified secrets. So far, every death has been cleverly staged as tragic accidents, but one scientist has evaded this fate by faking his own death. For over twenty years Doctor David Wray has lived under his new identity as a small town TV repair man. Plagued constantly with vivid memories of his friends' needless deaths, David is driven by remorse and anger to complete the final piece of the project he began with his team, even though, he knows the deadly consequences should his work be discovered. David's past and present are set on collision course when a psychic moves into town and gives his wife an impromptu reading. Shortly after her bizarre premonitions his young son is kidnapped. With the police at a dead-end and time running out, David must do the unthinkable, he must use a backdoor program to access Far Shadow, and find his son. As his plans rapidly unravel, David realises his actions have only served to put his entire family at risk. Frustratingly, whatever path he seems to take, he is unable to break free from the bizarre chain of events foretold by the medium. Plunged into a world he cannot rationally explain or control David's world falls apart. His only chance lies in unraveling the inexplicable events of his past, only then can he hope to save his family, his sanity and his life.
