In the previous book, "Going On A Treasure Hunt," the chicks found a treasure map, and it guided them to a treasure chest containing a pre-historic egg. To their great surprise, the egg hatched. In this book, the little green baby that came out of the egg roared, "MAMA!" when he saw Bow, and she fell in love with him. Over time the baby grew and grew and grew, but the chicks believed he was lonely. Bev set out to find him a companion, and sure enough, there was another pre-historic egg. The no-longer-little green baby would have a friend. The reader can also give the baby a name.
