This is a Bible Study Journal incorporating the "SOAPing" Bible Study Methods. Can you imagine being an old man, say around 90-years-old and being put in exile on an island because you spoke out for Jesus...for the Gospel? That is exactly the backdrop of the book of Revelation. John the aged Apostle is in exile on the isle of Patmos. The Romans had sentenced him to spend the rest of his life there. John was the last living Apostle of Jesus. It's about 90 or 91 A. D. Maybe he thought when he was put there that he was thru...done... ?nished. If so, BOY was he wrong! He was allowed to pen the last Revelation of Jesus Christ to the churches. WOW! In this book, you will ?nd a clear revelation of the Person of Jesus! Jesus gave His churches a word or two that no one could misunderstand. It's what you read after chapter 3 that starts to get... well, interesting. It is a revelation from Jesus thru John about end times. The book is not a story organized in chronological order. So, it leaves many wondering what order the chapters were written. Revelation presents a lot of symbolism and numbers throughout the book. Don't get lost in Revelation if you are reading it for the ?rst time. You will not understand everything the ?rst time... goodness, I have read it multiple times and I do not understand all of it yet. But you will love learning from it... and seeing some life principles in it. You might even draw an opinion on how things will end by the time you complete this study.
