The Car Driver is the story of three friends who come across a mystic while driving high in the picturesque Himalayas, and how he impacts their life in a most profound way. Partly a travelogue about beautiful parts of the Himalayan mountain ranges, with which the author is well conversant, and partly a window into core Hindu philosophy and how the ills of the present-day world may be addressed by following its tenets. The author has tried to transport the reader to the pine-scented valleys of the Himalayan region, and also make him/her know the essence of ancient Indian philosophy and its relevance to modern times. The story is not very long but moves across landscapes very fast and tries to convey deep meaning in a simple and sincere manner.
