On a routine mission in the Bulgarian Forest, a platoon of soldiers stumbles upon a mystic castle on a bluff in the river. As they search the castle they find a space craft from another world, and a group of scientists destroying classified material. The head scientist informs them they were unable to penetrate the craft so they could learn their technology, and Lieutenant Rice decides to blow it open against the advice of the head scientist and releases their worse nightmare. The hideous beast begins to stalk them as they flee through the castle trying to find a way to kill this unknown creature.
