This is a journey into madness. It is based on true events, as close to the truth I could get without reliving the pain and sorrow. Depression is a horrible mistress. It whips you when you are down, and after you are down, it keeps lashing you until you don't want yourself to exist anymore. I endured reliving this pain to share it with others, so we can be comrades in arms in defeating depression and bipolar disorder. To let you know, that you are not alone in this misery. Many of us fight this battle every single day and evey single night. Sometimes, it seems the morning light will never come. You can overcome this struggle and it is worth it. I've been to the darkest pits of misery, but Jesus has shown me the light. Twenty years ago, I was in Hell and on the road to killing myself, literally. My Camaro was travelling 100MPH towards the destination. That is when I lost control. I saw the two angels holding my car, as it crashed into guardrail. The angels carried my totaled car over and left it perfectly parked in the breakdown lane. I had barely a scratch. The next morning, down at the beach, I asked God, "What do you want from me?"I saw his light in my eyes. There in the sand in ten-foot letter was written: WRITE RIGHT. I wrote. Twenty years, I wrote. Over six hundred rejection letters later, I write. Magazines, agents, publishers, movie studios, production companies rejected me. Six hundred rejections later, still I write. Why?I was on my way home to take a lethal dose of painkillers that night, when I lost control, and God saved me. Jesus has given me so much, so much joy and life that I don't ever want to refuse what he asked of me, so I write. This is what I wrote. God bless you.
