This collection of poetry and prose touches on a variety of subjects that are close to the author's heart. While exploring race relations, faith, the beauty of love, and the reality of death, Christian is able to incorporate things he has experienced, seen, and become aware of in an eloquent, yet raw manner. While not a novel, this collection takes the reader on a journey of highs and lows; allowing one to become more aware of mind, body, and soul. Reminding us that it is imperative to care for ourselves while still being cognizant of the well-being of others. Some of the topics may not be easy to grapple with; however, they are of utmost importance in our nation's current climate.
