The Storyteller I am a storyteller of days of old--- All weathered and grained, a sight to behold. But to you, I have lessons to impart--- If you're willing to listen and take them to heart. Many years I've waited for you to come by... To take my lessons and apply--- The wisdom of my plentiful years, To aid in your desires and your fears. While standing here I have learned--- That wisdom is a gift, that must be earned. But occasionally, if you're willing to listen--- A gift to you will be given. Of lessons learned down through years--- That others have earned through their tears; And offer you their lessons --- free! In hopes you'd avoid their tragedy. They will share their joy, of lessons learned--- And include the experience, they have earned; That brought them to this special place--- To know life is not... just a race; But a series of lessons that must be learned; To ensure your winning as you yearn...
