We all have been given a gift from God. It is part of our character. Its there when we get up, and when we go to bed. It is part of you. It is part of everyone. This gift causes you to say and do the things you say and do. It is how we function in our daily living and our walk with God. If your gift is Encouraging, then encouraging comes natural to you. Usually, this gift does not come natural to a Teacher, it has to be learned! If your gift is Mercy, and you are teaching a women's Bible class, you may teach with compassion, not wanting to cause anyone to feel rejected or hurt by how you teach. If your gift is Manager, you will teach "black is black and white is white, PERIOD!" There is no GRAY area. You do not even notice how people are responding. If your gift is Teaching, you will have done sufficient research, giving the facts regardless of the role others believe feelings have in it; because to you, in your function, ---"truth is truth." All through the Word we find the Body of Christ made up of more than one member, and the members of that Spiritual Body are likened to members of a physical body [Rom 14:10-13; 15:7]; in that type of setting we need to encourage one another to function properly; so that such a Mystical Body may operate correctly.
