Watching The Sand
Paul a M Palmer
This anthology of poems covers a variety of topics. Some personal memories are covered in 'Mourne' and 'Cutting the Cord', and the loss of memory is a subject that continues to inspire (as in 'Severed'). In addition, there are some observational poems, such as 'Morden' and 'Embankment', inspired by journeys on London's Underground, and there are a couple of romantic poems ('Discovery' and 'She Wears My Kisses'). Loops and Secret World are observational poems that came about from (thankfully short) stays in hospital, and offer some interesting perspectives on an aging population and what it means from a personal viewpoint.
