Maybe, maybe not, but Lute had pledged to track down the blood thirsty she-devil who had taken him for every cent, even if it meant riding to the far ends of the earth. With that one thought in mind he loaded his gear, climbed aboard his horse and headed west having no idea where the day's trail might take him. And if he caught up to her, then what? As blood thirsty as the woman was, perhaps he wouldn't see the dawn of another day, but Lute knew that was a chance he'd have to take.
