When Heather Shepherd arrives home in time to witness her car being stolen, she's alarmed, to say the least. But that alarm turns to horror when she receives a call from her husband, Detective Shepherd, who tells her that her car was used in a hit and run. The victim? One of Hillside's most notorious gossips and hated people: Sharon Janis. Heather can't let this one lie. She has to solve this case and sets off on another sleuthin' adventure. Equipped with a box of her Christmas treats, Hot Chocolate Glazed Donuts, her desire for the truth, and some help from her detective hubby, she sifts through the clues. But, as usual, things aren't simple in the slightest. There's no shortage of suspects and the evidence doesn't seem to add up to match any of them. It's starting to look a lot like a Christmas murder season for Heather and the gang. Heather must solve the case or risk a Hillside killer on the loose, with a thirst for revenge.
