Someone is strangling little old ladies with their own pantyhose. The Seattle police are baffled when they discover a parrot feather at each crime scene. A local homicide detective known as "Big Jim" is deeply involved in trying to solve the crime. At the same time, he's dealing with the erratic behavior of his wife, Nancy, who seems to have undergone a radical personality transformation. Little does Big Jim know that Nancy is involved in a new relationship--a friendship with a certain colorful bird named Moke. Hilarity ensues when this dysfunctional marriage is put to the test by a wisecracking Amazonian parrot.
