The Disquieted Guy Gertsch
The Disquieted
Guy Gertsch
Davy Vance was an all-right guy, as long as things went his way. When they didn't, he'd merely adjust them to fit his particulars. Hence, in order to avoid the Army, he went to West Point; when he disapproved of his best friend's bride, he sabotaged the guy's wedding; when challenged by common sense to quit the race, he ran a whole marathon on a broken leg; to assure marital bliss, he aligned himself with a girl whose whole family hated him; and when his church wouldn't change one of its policies, he abandoned it. Fun-loving guy that Davy was, a person had to be careful not to hurt his family, for the malefactor just may find himself suddenly dead.
