Darren McAlpine is an eleven-year-old with a job to do. With his brother, he writes and delivers a neighborhood newspaper. This gives him a front-row seat to the lives of the people in his community. As Darren covers the story of some local teenagers planning a protest, he learns about the neighborhood, his family, journalism and his own gifts and limitations.
