When a starving fox begs Zelkirya Connor for food she's so amazed he can talk, she chases him under a rainbow into the magic land of Eloria-where all sorts of creatures she's only met in books live. Trolls, fairies, dwarfs, elves, unicorns, and a fierce dragon. In Eloria all the animals talk, even her own dog Brillo who has followed her from grandfather's farm. But the animals of Eloria are dying of a witch's curse. Maybe Zelkirya could save them, though that means facing the witch, eye to eye, while dodging an evil fairy prince's lightning bolts. And the portal gates out of Eloria are closing. By helping, she may never get home.
