The pearl. An important and ancient relic. It has stood for a long time as an earnest between two peoples. But now it is gone. Into the hands of the serpent. The pearl is a large and precious jewel given to the kingdom by Hindenman. But it was stolen in the Great Rebellion. Now it rests in the hands of the serpent. Whoever or whatever that is. David, a prince of the realm, is asked by the king his father to retrieve the pearl from whoever possesses it. In a country to the west. David believes it will be a routine, ordinary buying trip.
