"A woman smiled from her balcony overlooking Main St. where the dead children had begun their march. They played as they marched. We whistled from our gathered groups of twos and threes. They moved through Main St. beating their drums with palmed hands palsied white, white blue tips noting the old trombones leased from their high schools. They marvel at us as we do them. Each to each other a bond forms that will dissipate, that will soon depart. But for now, at least, solidarity. " Elias Siqueiros is a poet from El Paso, TX.
