In Ghana, West Africa, in the small village of Kyerekrom, is a school filled with friendly faces. One day, a group of visitors from America arrive at the school to visit the children. Nikki, a visitor studying education in America, has no idea that Ghana will change her life forever. Nikki learns several important lessons, such as what it means to be a great teacher and what it means to truly be welcome. Throughout the story, the culture, language and history of Ghana are explored.
