The streets of Raleigh are far different, than what the Mayor would like the world to believe. Behind the beautiful yet deceptive façade, of colleges and universities, was the 'real' city. Welcome to the Southside; home to ruthless gang, plenty drugs, and widespread prostitution, just for starters. At a very young age, Overstanding loses his entire family, and is forced into claw's of the State's uncaring system. So, he turns to the local gang in the neighborhood for love and guidance, and is welcomed with open arms. When one of the beloved residents of the 'hood, is suddenly murdered by the police, the city becomes a savage nightmare, leaving Overstanding with a very tough choice; loyalty for the set, or love for his woman. Samantha wants him to retire from the game before it's too late. She urges him to pursue his music talents, to escape the ruthless clutches of the ghetto. Overstanding knows that she's right, that the 'hood is full of predators, just waiting on you to slip. He realizes that mistakes can be deadly, your next move possibly your last one. He really didn't know who to trust, as the lines between true friends and cutthroat enemies become a blur. Would he make it out in time? Or, would he fall victim to the hate, greed and jealousy too.
