Welcome to the DSS After flying combat missions in Desert Storm, Tony Diego expected working for the U. S. Diplomatic Security Service would be somewhat less than exciting. Then he learned that Kayla, a fellow pilot he'd unsuccessfully tried to date, was also applying. Tony began to think maybe a career in the DSS wasn't such a bad idea, after all. It might even get interesting. He had no idea... Now, they're part of a top-secret task force that routinely operates light-years from home. Their sole responsibility is protecting Ambassador Wayne Freed. Custodian of the Sol-Deneb Treaty, he is possibly the most important human being on Earth.
