The Oxfordian is an annual journal published during the fall by the Shakespeare Oxford Fellowship. Articles provide in-depth coverage of issues of importance to Shakespeare scholars. The Oxfordian, published since 1998, is "the best American academic journal covering the authorship question," according to William Niederkorn, formerly of The New York Times. Volume 18, edited by Chris Pannell, was published in October 2016. Articles included are: 1. "An Evening at the Cockpit: Further Evidence of an Early Date for Henry V" by Ramon Jiménez; 2. "Reconsidering the Jephthah Allusion in Hamlet" by Connie J. Beane; 3. Sc(e)can, Shack, and Shakespeare by Eddi Jolly; 4. Twelfth Night: How Much Did de Vere Know of Dubrovnik? by Richard Malim; 5. Evermore in Subjection: Wardship and Edward de Vere by Bonner Miller Cutting; 6. The Sycamore Grove, Revisited by Catherine Hatinguais; 7. The Great Reckoning: Who Killed Christopher Marlowe and Why? by Stephanie Hopkins Hughes; 8. Essex, The Rival Poet in Shakespeare's Sonnets by Peter Moore; 9. The Rival Poet in Shake-speare's Sonnets by Hank Whittemore; 10. A Psychiatrist's View of the Sonnets by Eliot Slater; 11. Reviews of Forensic Shakespeare (Quentin Skinner) and Shakespeare's Money (Robert Bearman) by Richard Waugaman.
