This book is a collection of short stories, memoirs, family histories and poems written by members of the Stannington Library Writers' Group to celebrate the first anniversary of the group. The contents and formats are as varied as their authors. We start with a mediaeval fantasy flash fiction of revenge and finish with a post-plague dystopian future with a note of hope. So how to arrange an anthology of this kind? We decided to peg the pieces onto a chronological washing line with each writers' pieces grouped behind their chosen main piece. We seek to entertain, demonstrate our collective talents and raise money for Stannington Library where the group meets each month.
