Mimi is caught between a redneck, a rock, and a hard place. Her inability to connect with the illogical antics of her family members leave her convinced that she is an illegitimate love child. Between her redneck father, Bullet, and her gun-toting mother who wants to knock off her husband, Mimi struggles to rationalize the world around her. The social stigmas put upon her, by her family, make for great gossip among those who live in her small town. While her childhood centers on rationalizing the hillbilly logic that governs her life, her adult years evolve into a succession of outrageous adventures that always lead her back to the same question that has haunted her since she was a child; "How did I end up in this family?"
