I have heard people say, when you leave this world you cannot take anything with you. Well I am not so sure I agree with that; you can take the knowledge that you tried to make the world a better place. This is a book about leadership, what it looks like to me, and how I came to discover what that really means. The goal of this book is to inspire others to build a better future for themselves, and with the many stories it contains you will see how no matter what challenges you face, you can overcome them. All you need is a Belief-In-Self, and you will always find a solution to whatever life throws at you. As you travel with me, we will discuss events that occurred in my life and what it took to overcome them. You will see what it is like to lead Marines and what it takes to become one; what it looks like to take on challenges when almost everyone is telling you "it cannot be done," and then succeed. This book is a guide to doing just that. I will share with you the passion for others, the commitment it takes to overcome, and what effect that will ultimately have on you.
