Mark Z. Jacobson, a Stanford University Professor, has presented a roadmap in which he postulates that it should be possible to decarbonize all energy production and consumption on the world by 2050. This document is called the 100%WWS Roadmap and is available at "the Solutions Project" website. In this book I am going to show you that the feasibility of this roadmap has been weighed incorrectly. Also, Jacobson has shown that he doesn't accept criticism from anyone, scientists or not. He is backed by one of the wealthiest Universities in the world, and he has the outspoken support of celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Bill Nye and Mark Ruffalo. His claims have swayed influential journalists and leading politicians, but his errors make this rebuttal essential. Academic pedigree or expertise becomes irrelevant when the facts don't support the claims. Only evidence-or its absence-matters.
