We live in a world of consumption. We live in the world as consumers. With everything from microwaves, fast food, fast cars, fast women, fast-talking men, nothing is sacred or censored any longer, and there seems to be no boundaries in any sector of society. While a lot of this is built upon a foundation of pure evil, much of it is also based on the choices people opt to make. Decisions don't have to benefit the bottom tiers of our value system, we can make choices that become blessings in our life and in the lives of others as well. Amidst all the things we watch on television, hear in music, read in magazines, and browse on the Internet, we have a choice to either live for Christ, or prepare to die with the Devil. There are endless temptations in the world, but as Christians, we were created to be in the world, not of it. We are to love God and eschew evil. Christians should be the example, set the standard, show others how to exist until we get to eternity. We are to be the living witnesses, living sacrifices, willing servants and willing vessels that God can use to help others realize that a real relationship with Him starts by sacrificing themselves to be more like Christ, and it is the only way.
