Military life is one stressful transition after another! From joining the military, to long training missions, often times multiple deployments, and redeployment, and then into separation or retirement! Face it, it's all pretty difficult... This cautionary tale was written for anyone going through, or about to go through, a difficult transition like we did! This honest and difficult real life transition story explains the reality of how hard it can be to leave the military. I hope by sharing my own family's transition experience, and many missteps along the way, our story will be able to shed some light on the four steps to a successful transition for all service connected military families. Transitioning out of the military is hard, and being prepared is the key to success while reintegrating into a civilian lifestyle. Sometimes we just need help; we need someone to care.
