The title of this book comes from an old adage. I'm sure you've heard it before, "Tough times don't last, but tough people do." Tough times are an inevitable part of life. Even Jesus tells us that in this world you will have tribulation, (tough times), but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world (John 16:33). Tough times are going to come, if they are not already here. And as such, it takes a particular kind of person to deal with these difficult moments that come in everyone's life. According to the adage, not just anyone can deal with tough times. It takes a TOUGH PERSON to deal with tough times. Listen, we can't keep tough times from coming, but how you are affected by tough times is really a matter of how you chose to respond to them. These tough times can either make us better or make us worse and it's all in our perspective of them. Jesus said that in these tribulation (tough times), we are to be of good cheer. I submit to you that, that is a matter of perspective and in this book my hope is to help improve and even change your perspective so that you truly can be the tough person (The spirit-filled Believer) God has intended and created you to be.
