Treasures from the Battlefield - A Memoir is Teena Eaton's first published book. Born in May 1945, the same month that Germany surrendered to the Allies, Eaton takes the reader on a nostalgic look back to the small town Central Pennsylvania of her girlhood and forward to the present day. Originally conceived as a gift to her grandchildren and her unborn descendants, Eaton's memoir is filled with the triumphs and heartbreaks of one ordinary life. As the story slowly expanded in scope, she decided to share it with the rest of us. She details her attempts to break into the world of country songwriting and her decade-long search to solve the mystery at the core of her being, the identity of her World War II soldier father. The book is fleshed out with some of her family photos, which serves to transport the reader more fully into her life story.
