Jonathan and the Labyrinth
Elizabeth Harding
Jonathan is on holiday with his family in the Peak District. In the attic of the house he finds a diary that a boy called Reggie had started to write in 1939. In the back of the diary he also finds a copy of a map and the English translation of a letter originally written in Latin. Some other objects, such as a peculiar glassy stone have something to do with the letter and the map and Jonathan is determined to find out the secrets that bind the strange artefacts together. It doesn't take long before he finds himself caught up in the world of the ancient past as well as the worlds of mythology, magic and the more recent Second World War.
