The long term negative effects of trauma on the brain, the body and the emotional or mental health of an individual is quite shocking as we read the research. A child or teen who suffers from a trauma or loss may not be easily identified unless the family becomes aware or conscious of the child's behavior. It is a sad fact that we can't prevent trauma and loss in everyday life.
